Radcliff History

The city of Radcliff was incorporated in 1956. It was formed in 1919, when Horace McCullum sold several sub - divided lots in an auction. Radcliff derived its name from McCullum?s friend Major William Radcliffe, who was the head of the Quartermaster Corps at Camp Henry Knox. In the 1930s, Fort Knox expanded and dislocated Stithton and New Stithton. This led to the businessmen and residents of those communities shift to Radcliff.
