There are so many perks that come along with choosing Spectrum Voice, including some incredible features that you won’t get with a traditional landline phone service. Below is a list and accompanying description of the awesome features you get with Spectrum Voice.

  • Simultaneous Ring – Connect up to five phone numbers that will also ring for all incoming calls to the home phone. Never worry about missing an important call when you’re away from home.
  • Caller ID – This will display information about the incoming caller such as their phone number and name, if available.
  • Block Anonymous Calls – This helpful feature allows you to block unknown numbers and callers. To activate, simply dial *77. To deactivate, dial *87.
  • Accept Selected Callers – This allows you to choose specific calls that are acceptable for you to receive. To activate, dial *64. To deactivate, dial *84.
  • Readable Voicemail – This feature allows you to receive your voicemails through an audio file or text version.
  • Set Up Back-Up Phone – For instances when your Spectrum Voice service is unavailable, this feature allows you to forward calls to a backup phone number of your choice.
  • Forward Selected Calls – You can even choose to specify which phone numbers you would like to automatically forward to an alternate phone number. This feature will not affect other incoming calls, just the ones you choose to forward. To activate, dial *63. To deactivate, dial *83.
  • Call Waiting – If another call comes through while you’re already in a call, this feature will notify you by playing a soft beep sound. You can choose to accept the incoming call by pressing “Flash” which will then place the current call on a hold. If you choose to end the current call, the incoming call will immediately ring upon ending the previous one. To activate, press “Flash”. You can also press “Flash” to switch between two calls. To deactivate, dial *70 before dialing a phone number to prevent interruptions on an outbound call. This feature will automatically reactivate after the call is complete.
  • Speed Dial – With this feature, you can program up to 8 numbers for quick, easy calling with one digit to eliminate the need for memorizing important phone numbers.
  • Return Call – Automatically call back the last incoming call with this convenient feature. Please note that this is only applicable for local calls and does not work for forwarded calls or any calls from 800 or 900 phone numbers.
  • Call Guard – With Call Guard enabled, there is no need to worry about receiving any malicious or telemarketing robocalls. This feature will detect unwanted calls through call patterns and provide a Caller ID alert when needed.
  • Call Waiting with Caller ID – This helpful feature is necessary if you would like to be notified when another call is coming while you’re already in an existing call with someone else. It will even notify you of the Caller ID of the person who is calling so you can decide whether or not you’d like to hang up the initial call to answer the incoming one.
  • Block Unwanted Callers – This feature allows you to compile a list of phone numbers that you wish to block incoming calls from. To activate, dial *60. To deactivate, dial *80.
  • 3-Way Calling – You’ll love having this feature if you enjoy speaking with multiple people on the phone at once. It even allows you to place one party on hold while speaking in private to the other party. To activate, press “Flash”.
  • Caller ID on TV – This awesome feature works collectively with your TV to give you the ultimate home phone experience. With Caller ID on TV, your TV will notify you of any incoming calls as well as the name and phone number of who is calling.
  • Do Not Disturb – There are time you may need a disruption-free environment. Block all incoming calls with this feature.
  • Block International Calls – This feature allows you to block all outgoing international calls.
  • Block Outbound Caller ID – This feature allows you to block your own Caller ID information when making outbound calls from your phone using the Voice Online Manager. To activate this feature and hide your phone number from the number you are calling to, simply dial *67 before dialing the phone number. This will appear as “Private” or “Anonymous” on the recipient’s phone. However, keep in mind that your call may not go through if the recipient has blocked anonymous calls. To deactivate this feature for the same number you are calling, simply dial *82 before dialing the phone number.
  • Trace Call – This feature can be extremely necessary if you receive any harassing or threatening calls because it allows you to trace the call and release any acquired information to a law enforcement agency. Keep in mind that this feature will only work for the most recent incoming call, so it is best to initiate this feature immediately after receiving the questionable call.
  • Block Collect Calls – This feature allows you to block all incoming collect calls.
  • Forward Calls When Busy – In addition to Call Waiting with Caller ID, this feature allows you to forward incoming calls to a specified number or voicemail when you’re already on another call.
  • Forward Calls When No Answer – You can also opt for forwarding incoming calls to voicemail or another number either immediately or after a specified number of rings.
  • Block 3rd Party Changes – In order to activate this feature, please contact Spectrum - https://www.spectrum.net/contact-us
  • Block 900/976 Calls – This is an automatically enabled feature.
